DC to DC TRANSDUCER ISOLATING AMPLIFIER |
Datasheet (Adobe Acrobat Format)
Features:
Applications:
The transducer converts a DC voltage or current into a load independent DC current or voltage signal which may be used to drive a number of remotely installed instruments.
This transducer has been designed with a fast response for use in feedback circuits of motor drives. A lower ripple - slower response version for data loggers can be supplied.
The output is protected against over-voltages due to surges or accidental contact with insulation testers or the mains supply.
The auxiliary voltage supply is user selectable to either 110V or 220V AC by means of a jumper. A 24V or 110V DC version is also available.
The input signal is fed through a passive network (1) to scale it to a suitable value for the isolating amplifier (2). This amplifier has optically isolated input and output stages to give the necessary galvanic separation. The output amplifier (3) provides either a load independent current signal (with maximum burden) or a load independent voltage signal (with minimum burden). The auxiliary voltage is transformed in (5) and (6) and then rectified and smoothed in (4) and (7), thus providing each galvanically separate section of the transducer with its own auxiliary supply. The DC supply version has an inverter before the transformer section.
